The Middle Township Chamber of Commerce membership
has chosen
F. Nathan "Nate" Doughty
as the 2012 recipient
of its most prestigious honor,
“Business Person of the Year”

The announcement was made by 2011 Business Person of the Year, Bill Kindle. Doughty will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, March 30th at “The Links Club” of the Stone Harbor Golf Club. Recipients are recognized for their successes not only in business but for their contributions to the public and the business community.

Mr. Doughty, along with his wife Patty owns and operates Pine Lake Nursery in Cape May Court House. “Nate” as he is known, served on Township Committee for 15 years as Deputy Mayor and Mayor. His focus through his tenure was youth recreation at the Goshen Sports Complex which he oversaw. He is a native of the township and his family has a long history of service to the community in education and public service. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sturdy Savings Bank.

“The Chamber congratulates all of this year’s nominees, Nichol Hoff of Sun National Bank and Lou Altobelli of Rio Auto Body,” said Board President, Bob Noel. “It is certainly an honor to be nominated for this award, as they are all fine examples of upstanding citizens”, he added.
